Mustangs Finish 2nd at NJCAA National Championship

The 2011 Western Wyoming Community College volleyball season came to an end on Saturday, November 19th in West Plains, MO in the NJCAA National Championship game. The Mustangs battled with the Buccaneers of Blinn College for four sets with BC taking the game 25-19, 25-22, 23-25, 25-23.

Western Wyoming was led by Olivera Medic who put down 15 kills, while Jocelyn Ostermiller and Viktorija Teivane had 13 and 10 respectively. Makayla Keck led the offense with 46 assists. Medic posted a double-double by picking up 21 digs. Cori Perrault dug out 17 balls while Teivane also had a double-double with 16 digs.

The Mustangs finished the season with a 39-3 record. The 39 wins is the second most in school history following 2010's total of 40. The .928 winning percentage is the highest in school history.
